South Salt Lake is closer to our Salt Lake office than almost anywhere else in the valley.

All Well Child Checkups

What do you check during a well-child visit?

We measure and plot growth, examine your child completely, test vision and hearing, run the screening appropriate to their age, review immunizations, and answer the questions you came in with — all of it aimed at finding things before they become a problem.

It is a planned half hour rather than a reaction to something, which is why it is the visit where the useful conversations actually happen.

Who will my child see?

Seeing the same clinician every visit is not administrative tidiness. It is what lets someone say with confidence that a change is a change rather than a normal variation.

The rest of the practice sits behind them: dietitians, lactation support, therapists and psychologists, all reachable through the visit.

Why do these visits matter for families in South Salt Lake?

A short drive is the difference between a family who keeps every appointment and one who keeps most of them, and keeping every one is what makes the record worth having.

The visits find the quiet things too — low iron, hearing loss, vision that has been slowly worsening, anxiety — none of which would bring anyone to a clinic on their own.

When should my child come in?

The schedule runs newborn, two weeks, then 1, 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 24, and 30 months, and then one visit a year until twenty-one.

If your child is behind, come anyway. There is a catch-up schedule for every vaccine and we will build one at the visit.

How do I book a visit from South Salt Lake?

A phone call or an online request is all it takes. Being this close to the office makes a same-week opening genuinely usable, so it is worth asking whether anything has come up.

Bring the immunization record if you are new, any forms, and your list.

Which office is closest to South Salt Lake?

We are at 3838 South 700 East, Suite 200. From the Central Pointe TRAX station the drive takes about seven to ten minutes: south on State Street, then east on 3900 South.

Our Cottonwood office at 301 West 5400 South in Murray takes about eleven to fifteen minutes, south on I-15 from 3300 South and off at 5300 South.

There is little to decide. Salt Lake is closer from every part of the city and the drive avoids the freeway altogether. Cottonwood is the fallback when we cannot see you here soon enough, and for families near 3300 South and I-15 it is barely farther, since the freeway does the work.
