Well Child Checkups · Salt Lake County
Bluffdale sits at the point of the mountain, and its nearest office is just up the freeway in Draper.
We check growth against your child's own curve, examine them from head to toe, test vision and hearing, complete the screening due at their age, review immunizations, and make time for whatever you have been wondering about.
Because families here are split between two school districts, we are used to completing whichever form your child's school actually wants. Bring it and we will do it in the room.
One clinician looks after your child, visit after visit. That is what makes a growth chart mean something, rather than a series of numbers taken by different people.
Where more is needed, the same provider can coordinate it — our dietitians, our behavioral health team, or a specialist outside the practice.
Being well is the condition screening depends on. Once a problem is obvious it does not need finding; the point of these visits is the year before that.
For a city growing this quickly there is a second reason. Many families here are new to Utah, and we use the annual visit to turn a scattered medical history into one record that somebody is actually watching.
Come in often at first — newborn, two weeks, then 1, 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 24, and 30 months — and then once a year through age twenty-one.
Book the annual well before August. The sports and school physical rush lasts a fortnight and takes every appointment in the south end of the valley with it.
Call our Draper office or request a visit online. The easiest version is to book next year's before you leave this one.
Bring immunization records if you are transferring in, forms that need a signature, and a written list of questions.
Head for 114 East 12450 South in Draper. From around 14600 South the drive takes about nine to thirteen minutes, north on Redwood Road and then east across I-15, or one turn off the 12300 South exit if you take the freeway instead.
Our Southpoint office at 9071 South 1300 West is the alternative, about fifteen to nineteen minutes north on I-15 from the point of the mountain.
Draper is the obvious choice for nearly the whole city: it is closer, the drive is short, and the office sits beside the freeway you are already on. Southpoint only makes sense if your morning takes you north anyway — toward West Jordan, Taylorsville, or the airport — in which case you are not adding a trip, you are stopping on the way.
You choose who your child sees. These are the pediatricians and advanced practice providers based at the offices below — tap a name for their background, training and the ages they see.
