Ear Congestion and Pressure

Ear congestion and pressure can make an ear feel full, blocked or unable to pop normally. Hearing may sound muffled, and some children feel pressure or discomfort.

Colds, allergies and fluid behind the eardrum are common causes. Changes in air pressure during flying or mountain travel can also cause symptoms. Ear infections and other ear problems may cause similar pressure.

Every office keeps same-day appointments for illness and injury.
