Sexually Transmitted Infections in Teens

A sexually transmitted infection, or STI, is an infection passed mainly through sexual contact. Many STIs cause few or no symptoms.

Bacteria, viruses and parasites can cause STIs. Common examples include chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, HIV, herpes, HPV and trichomoniasis.

  • There is an immediate safety concern related to assault, self-harm or another life-threatening emergency.

When can my child be seen

Be seen today.

Every office keeps same-day appointments for illness and injury.

This evening or at the weekend.

Most offices run After Hours Care, by appointment rather than walk-in.

If you are worried, call. We would rather answer a question that turns out to be nothing.
