When to see a doctor

Contact your pediatrician or another healthcare professional if:

  • The rash is painful, spreading or draining.
  • Your child develops fever.
  • You are unsure whether the rash is fungal.
  • Appropriate antifungal treatment is not improving the rash.

Call 911 or get emergency care if:

  • Your child has any life-threatening emergency.
